golden egg

The traditional principle or golden rule of working in 3rds is not followed within this art piece. It might seem a challenging aspect, however, the artist has defied this and created the Golden Egg at the centre of the canvas, giving expression to the numerous shapes and colours that surround it. The Golden Egg is a symbol of the ideas, thoughts, words and actions we give birth to, and how those beliefs, actions and ideas shape our world. The Golden Egg represents purposefulness and allows the viewer an opportunity to reflect on what they have created within their own physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body.

The activity of experience. Symbolically we start to identify recognisable symbols of figurative shapes. Expressing the rich experience of how we have developed into who we are, are the memories of the past that enrich the moments and understanding of the present. The action and activity is conveying how many lives we have had and gives us a sense of the layered time. The connection between these lives permeates the individual and create who we are in the moment of time

timeliness

The artist is trying to represent a visceral expression through the artwork by the textures, colours and lines and the very strong circular motion in the centre of the canvas. This artwork draws us within ourselves and the viewer starts to look for solutions. What has the experience meant to me? The eye of the storm. The labyrinth and the maze that helps us document our journey, find direction and identify who we are.
